On the occasion of the event “Scrittori in Città” (Writers in the city) the creative group LS_33 would like to invite you to a special event, that will stimulate all our senses. Five art work about this original theme. Staged by the LS_33 art group, the show touches on the intimate and delicate theme of five senses. During the exhibition many collateral events: performance, installation, poetry reading, video, music and dance.The show is supported by a fine personal colour catalogue with text by Ornella Calvetti and a different installation for every single artist.
An art work in the form of a diary. For two months in the blog http://amamisepuoi.blog.tiscali.it/ the artist put some reflections and personal photos about some ideas of life and silence.In the exhibition space he writes a sentence in large red characters on the floor. It is a distillation of the various texts written in the blog. Nearby are five clods of earth from the cities where the artist lived, Paris, London, Bologna, Venezia and Cuneo. In the air there is the scent of lavender perfume, giving all a particular atmosphere . Seven black bulbs create a half-light.This work is the personal emotion of the artist about his moment of silence, when he experiences the sensations of life.
“...wide horizons in looking for new ideas, symbols, techniques, to go on evolving in indefinite worlds, putting apart sure goals and what is important is changing learning static situations, where everything is, from prehistory up to the present, linked to the future, without limits and dimensions in a research of new relationships between forms and languages to open our mind. Domenico Olivero was born in Cuneo, 27/04/1964, where he lives and works.
He's an artist who has evolved through the years following a personal creative process, exploiting different techniques, especially by means of installations. The latter ones particularly suit his expressive demands, in order to be able to represent to its best his personal thoughts on contemporaneity. Noticeable elements in his work are a strong curiosity for social/anthropological dynamics, and a formal research involving the history of the art, revisited with humble and daily materials.
Just from these interests of his, different artistic interventions are given birth, basically characterised by a strong interaction with the public. Pursuing his increasing interest for communicative strategies, he approached the Web universe by designing. Over the last years he created two special projects: in 2004 "Resonance", which took shape through various events, and now "Apera", going on until 2007 in several forms as well.
