This catastrophic and useless war killed and maimed millions of youth. The globe she hold is made up of newspaper clipping of that war. She is every soldiers mother.
There is a woman behind every great act. My great-grandparents, from Odessa, opened a Russian Bakery in Montreal in 1912 (on the left). On the right is another bagel bakery near my studio.
