Jiri born on 23rd January 1965 in Fakenau / Eger married, 2 daughters Apprenticeship as tool-maker, master metalworker, welding expert. Art and paint studies by self study, Profesional metal work and wrought-iron work. He lives and works in Darmstadt and Groß-Gerau

Artist´s conception
In the works of the well-known artist Georg "Jiri" Platzer of Darmstadt, conception works and works in series regarding themes not commonare in the centre of attention beside the usual works such as portrait, nude drawing and works ordered. His works are to be seen and bought at changing exhibition places.

His works are to be seen and bought at changing exhibition places. Main attention is given on the compositional approach, whereas here a tendancy to abstraction and richness of colour is visible.

More artistic work fields
in the past "Jiri" has written 2 lyric poetry volumes as limited edition. He performs regularly his works which include short stories, aphorism, and poetry on small-town and literature stages in the Rhein-Main area.

He is the initiator and presenter of the radio station Atelier X of the free, non-commercial radio RADAR in Darmstadt and is member of the cultural editorial staff. Apart from painting, "Jiri" helps other artists with his knowledge and realizes ideas and conceptions for them in public.

Repair and restoration works regarding sculptures, monuments and historc metal works being in the interest of the public or put unde a preservation order are also done correctly.
