"I am committed to abstraction. The work of Marc Rothko, Willem De Kooning and Paul Klee had a strong impact on my artistic education.

I don’t try to depict reality, I rely on colour, contrast and texture to convey my feelings and make things visible. My canvases are a mix of purely formal elements and potential narrative. Images originate in fragments of personal and cultural history, in responses to travel, recollection of journeys. Traces of places once visited, of colours seen evolve as an introspective diary of history, times and places."

Born in Paris, Christine’s artistic career began as a fashion designer before moving to Queensland with her husband in 1995 to concentrate solely on painting

Christine’s extensive travels for over 20 years have led her to exhibit in solo and group exhibitions in France, Hong Kong, Italy, Spain, Canada, the United Arab Emirates and Australia.

With more than 15 solo exhibitions and 50 group exhibitions in her extensive biography, Christine’s noted exhibitions include showing twice in the Salon International de Artes Plastics in Barcelona where she won the Mencion d’Honor a la Abstraccio Award, Bark Modern Art in Hong Kong, Catherine Asquith Gallery in Melbourne and Gallery Gora in Montreal.
