Eric J Rhoades
I spent many years working in pen and ink and have for the last few years also worked in digital visual arts. In digital I appreciate the ability to edit, a composition becomes more fluid. Pen and ink heightens ones awareness of the physicality of drawing. The relationship between hand and eye, pen and paper, something occurs there that is different than the sole expression of an inspiration, drawing is like making love.
My art is about the blur between what we are and what we perceive.
