Brian Schader has been a professional artist all of his adult life, (28 years and counting). He is most widely recognized for his contemporary, landscape paintings of the American Southwest. His striking depictions of U.S. western landscapes have brought him critical acclaim and collectors throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. Having the belief that creativity should not be restricted by any one medium, Brian is now forging a path in the realm of massive outdoor sculptures and devotes all his time to creating beautiful steel, stone, glass, bronze and copper contemporary monumental sculptures.
"setting out to create an extraordinary work or art with a camera"
Always having had an incredible passion and reverence for the female form Brian Schader released "Passionscapes" in 2003
After a failed attempt or two to capture on canvas, what was in his mind's eye, Brian decided maybe a change of medium was in order. Having chosen to use his camera for this endeavor, a creative struggle arose on the artistic comparison between a photograph and a painting. He came to the conclusion that both held their own merits and that his choice to use photography would stand.
Brian sought to create an image of the human body in a very abstract way, almost as if it were a landscape. Subtly showing no more nudity than was necessary to complete the vision for the shot that was in his mind's eye. Capturing a moment if you will, one of romance, of passion, and of vulnerability.
Brian produced only a handful of images from photo shoots of only three models. Low edition sizes of either 25 or 50 create an exceptionally collectible art piece.
We hope you enjoy them and thank you for looking.
Best Wishes,
